What is taught during private voice lessons?
Private lessons consist of individual instruction for students with a desire to improve their vocal technique, with focus on the fundamentals such as breath management, freedom of production, registration, resonance, diction and artistic interpretation. Each lesson will consist of exercises that will help the student work on the vocal basics followed by the implementation of those the techniques on repertoire. The pieces may include songs needing work from choir as well as solo vocal repertoire.
Is there an age requirement?
Most voice instructors agree that students age 11 or older are most likely able to benefit from vocal instruction. Fifth grade and above is an ideal age to take voice lessons, although every student develops at a different rate.
How much are Lessons?
The cost will be $25 per lesson.
